Let's not merge this for now, I'm curious to see if the renovate bot will create a PR on this repo that inherit from the default configuration located in github.com/scality/platform-renovate

I'd rather have the inherited configuration than a local duplicate here 👍

No configuration is inherited by default, you need to specify one in the extends key.

I have also created a repo https://github.com/scality/renovate-config, maybe it is best to have all configurations centralized there with a golang.json for example.

Yes I have seen your repo. What I mean is that it would be better to have 1 repo for all scality instead of 1 repo per team. Such repo would have 2 folders: it/, engineering/, ...
