Software engineer in Colorado Springs. Spent the last 5 years as a founding engineer at a venture-backed e-commerce startup building everything from payment systems and storefront SDKs to Shopify checkout extensions and merchant dashboards. Mostly TypeScript and Kotlin these days, but I've touched a bit of everything.
Lately I've been into hardware hacking — reverse-engineering Lutron lighting protocols, writing custom STM32 firmware to drive dual radios, flashing ESP32 smart bulbs with custom firmware to get them off the cloud. Also been building MCP servers and figuring out how to make AI tools actually useful in real workflows.
I publish a dev tool here and there — a Rust CLI for benchmarking commands, an MCP server for talking to hardware over serial, that kind of thing.
