I'm adding lots of various ways to write the statement for tasks X.1 in our EV outcomes, to emphasize there's not one precise way to communciate the answer, while emphasizing that one needs to communicate a full thought.

i like this idea a lot? Is there an easy to have check it show the full set of "possible" answers to just one activity? Like do a "the following are examples of correct statements?"

I'm just thinking about if a student only practices with one task and doesn't cycle through others.

It's possible. But I don't want students to think there are only six ways to write the answer.

How about this: we give two possible answers for each? Let me set that up and see how it looks...

I do like the idea of having two answers---especially if we indicate there are other ways too.

Seems like we have multiple tasks and are giving different statements on different tasks, so I think that is probably enough variety as is. Maybe to Jordan's suggestion just add phrasing like "One such statement is ..."

yes, adding a "one such statement is..." would be sufficient imo.
