Example of using Service Principal secured with a Certificate #480

@TCfromIOSRC

Description

@TCfromIOSRC

The documentation of the latest release of mssql-python states that the Authentication for a Service Principal secured with a Client Id, Client Secret or Certificate is supported. I am in need of supporting the use of a Certificate for authenticating my Service Principal. There is no clear example in the documentation of using the Service Principal with a Certificate method. I have tested using a variety of connection string combinations and none has worked.

I suspect that the key will be the use of SQL_COPT_SS_ACCESS_TOKEN and utilizing methodology similar to that outlined in Issue #127

Is there any chance that someone has an example that assumes that there is a .pfx certificate file stored locally?
