It would be great to be able to send an email to the student and/or parents from the User / Device / or Job. If possibly having saome template emails that could be used as well as free-form emails to communicate with the student and/or parents.
As an added bonus, (possibly phase 2 of this functionality) would be if the email was sent from a job, then the user / parents could reply to the email and their reply would go straight into the job as a comment and the currently assigned tech / group would receive a notification than the job had an update via email.
This could then also be leveraged to send automatic emails as well, such as when a job is flagged as ready to be collected a selected email template could be sent to the user (and optionally the parents) to notify them that it is ready to be collected.... And even further, the ready to collect email could be resent every X number of days until the device is collected....
Possibly phase 3 could be that there are some email templates that are associated with certain types of jobs such than when a matching job is created the tech creating the job is prompted (or presented with buttons in the job) to send those emails if appropriate (ie notify parents of repair loan laptop being assigned, or notify parents of repair job has been logged for student)...
Whenever an email is sent from the job it should be logged in the comments that the email has been sent, with the content of the email as the comment.
