For documentation and cheatsheet pages specifically, I believe having a single dark mode is more effective. From my experience and research across many developer documentation sites, the majority use dark mode as the default because:

Dark mode helps maintain focus on the content.

Light mode can sometimes feel distracting or cause eye strain, especially during long reading sessions.

Since docs and cheatsheets are primarily reference materials, clarity and concentration are more important than theme flexibility.

So, I’d suggest keeping dark mode as the default and skipping light mode for these pages—it aligns better with how most developers prefer to read technical content.
