What happened?

The guest's start is rarely quick (best about 10 s), takes normally about 1 minute but sometimes it totally fails - the Ubuntu start makes endless loops without any progress, thus there is no other solution but to kill virtualbox from the Task-Manager after 10 or more minutes (the next Ubuntu start will the proceed normally). This problem persists since many Ubuntu versions and many VirtualBox releases.
When Ubuntu has started, it works well. My PC is fast and has enough memory (see system report).

How can we reproduce this?

The problem is that it is not reproducible. The Ubuntu start fails about 1 of 5 to 10 times, with CTR ALT DEL one sees that there are endless lines with sometimes fails, afterwards many new lines are created but the desktop never appears.

Did you upload all of your necessary log files, screenshots, etc.?

  • Yes, I've uploaded all pertinent files to this issue.
