Support for SimpleVoiceChat / other servers?

The mod SimpleVoiceChat requires another port to be accessed for a voice chat server. It'd be really nice if this mod would add support for that too - maybe as an added entry in the text record.

I'd be happy to PR this myself, but I'll wait until the rewrite mentioned in another issue is finished.

The rewrite is only needed for Minecraft 1.12.2 because Minecraft manages connections completely differently in this version. Therefore, you have to completely change how the mod integrates into the game.

I've looked into it but I have to say that it's not very easy to support Simple VoiceChat because it uses UDP as a protocol which Cloudflared doesn't support. We could look at something like udp over tcp (https://github.com/mullvad/udp-over-tcp) but I don't know if that's stable/works well.

Simple Voice Chat supports alternate hostnames in the config, maybe a local UDP2TCP server would work in a Docker-type setup, then using that hostname as the voice chat server?
Another issue though is that Simple Voice Chat seems to send this info to the client, so if it's hosted on a port besides what Simple Voice Chat expects, this might not be possible.

There's this tool available in the Debian and Ubuntu repos that's sourced from the University of Columbia that might have a solution to this issue.
It's called udptunnel.
Maybe possible to compile a binary for this and include it in Modflared?

I'll see if I can get a prototype up and running, but it might take some time since I'm very busy in my personal life and also need the right motivation. If someone else has the time and interest to program it, that would be great too.

I started attempting to work on this here*, got as far as creating multiple tunnels with different protocols... only to find out cloudflared doesn't support UDP.

udptunnel is made with posix compliant sockets in mind, which Windows doesn't quite work with.

It seems you can at least build mullvads udp to tcp app to windows, but I haven't tested whether it actually works. If so, that could be an option. I may look into it in the coming days, but otherwise leaving this comment here so anyone else interested has a base to work off of.

mullvads udp2tcp software is definitely an option, but the main issue here is certainly cloudflared not supporting udp
if udp was supported, this would be a trivial fix :(

Was just made aware of this project - open source Cloudflare Tunnels alternative. It's not quite applicable for this project, as if you're running this you probably don't want to open ports/give your raw address out, but it can tunnel UDP. Leaving it here for other peoples interests for similar projects - perhaps a fork?
